Some time ago the topic of Eve Rules was being discussed and after a while came up with these 10 Rules of Eve.

1st Rule of Eve = Never trust anyone.
2nd Rule of Eve = It's always a trap.
3rd Rule of Eve = If it sounds too good to be true, refer to Rule 1 and 2.
4th Rule of Eve = Don't fly what you can't replace.
5th Rule of Eve = The only safe place is in station.
6th Rule of Eve = Undock from station is consent for PvP.
7th Rule of Eve = When in doubt, refer to Rule 4, 5 and 6.
8th Rule of Eve = There is no correct way to play.
9th Rule of Eve = Conversation gains Information.
10th Rule of Eve = To correctly play Eve, refer to Rule 8 and 9.
Just wondering if everyone was pretty much in agreement with those. I'm sure there's a few more Cardinal Rules that can be added to the list. At least enough to make it The 13 Rules of Eve. Of course more would be better.
Food for thought. As you can plainly see, after a couple of rules are stated there's another rule which refers back to the previous rules. That should be included with any new rule group, for example :
11th Rule of Eve = The Forums are Eve too.
12th Rule of Eve = Only alt characters post in the forums.
13th Rule of Eve = To win Eve, refer to Rule 11 and 12.
Anyway, just post some more basic rules to this thread and if everyone agrees, I'll add them to the existing list.

Well, that was just an example. Also it doesn't have to be super serious either. Just more or less be generally accepted.

OK, thanks to all those who posted new rules, definitely will look them over and add them to the list, maybe with some slight changes. I'd also like to thank those who posted suggestions and or amendments to the existing rules.
Just a reminder, these rules should not be real specific. They should be more generalized and generic so that a larger portion of the player base can relate to them. Also having a bit of humor mixed in with some truth is always a good thing, such as Rule 10.
Usually the very first thing most players hear in reference to Eve is don't trust anyone, even if you're sleeping with them.
Rule 1 is perfect as it is, especially for Eve. Naturally Rule 2 and 3 go right along with it.
Rule 4, I see a lot of people suggesting 'Don't fly what you can't afford to replace....or lose, etc'. Well, using the term 'afford' brings to mind ISK. Players don't actually need ISK to replace something, especially with duplicate items in assets. As such, I don't really see a reason to amend the 4th Rule Of Eve.
Rule 5 is still basically true when kept generalized ..... now if a cute Caldari guy at Jita 4-4 does the Falcon in my Captains Quarters with Peanut Butter and Whipped Cream, then Rule 5 definitely needs to be amended.
Rule 6, after thinking about it I do agree it isn't accurate and definitely needs to be re-worded. As such until a better descriptive phrase is suggested this is now Rule 6 :

Rule 7 is still an excellent referral for Rule 4, 5 and 6.
Rule 8 needs to be amended as well. There's a lot of different ways to accomplish the same goal in this game, with each one being as good as the next. Keeping that in mind however, there is indeed wrong ways to play this game. So to make Rule 8 a more generalized statement :

Rule 9, while being a fact it's also a rule, especially when pertaining to espionage. Also let's not forget this game is an MMO.
Rule 10 is just a little bit of humor with some truth mixed in. Gotta admit it fits well with Rule 8 and 9. I did amend it slightly to make it more generic :

Now to address a few concerns about Rule 11, 12 and 13. These are just an example, posted with a little tongue in cheek. Granted Rule 12 is a bad joke but generally speaking most players would say the forums are filled with alts. Now if everyone want's these to be included on the list as well, it's fine by me.
Anyway, Rule 11, 12 and 13 were posted as an example to illustrate how new rules should be formatted : Each set of stated rules within a group has the last rule referring back to the previous rules.
Lastly I'd like to remind everyone to please stay on topic. Definitely don't need any 'Report Cards' filled out.

You think what I did is going against Forum Rules? I think you're taking that rule way out of context.
Considering it's been 3 weeks since this thread had a posted reply in it I don't see how that qualifies as bumping to alter the order of the thread listing in this sub-forum. I could easily just post a response to each different reply in this thread every few days.

That is up too you but you clearly 'bumped' the thread for the sole purpose of moving it to the top, and that rules is very clear that it is not allowed outside of the areas it says. So maybe not a great rule but I do understand why they have it.
Technically that rule applies to the action of posting a reply in the same thread everyday or two in order to keep the thread active on the top page of a sub-forum.
I could be wrong but posting a reply 3 weeks later to see if anyone else had something to add to the thread topic isn't the same thing.
I've already filed a Support Ticket about this issue and am currently waiting for an official CCP reply to which I will abide by. As such, there's no more need to bring this up again since it's off topic.
